Muscat: The Muscat Municipality has sent a delegation to the World Cities Summit Mayors Forum, which takes place in Singapore from July 8 to 12.
With the theme, “Sustainable Cities to Live: Embracing the Future through Innovation and Cooperation”, the forum aims to discuss recent economic and environmental challenges facing cities and the trends that deal with such challenges.
The Muscat delegation includes Eng.. Khalifa bin Nasi Al Siyabi, the Director General of Projects for Muscat Municipality. Khalifa has extensive experience in urban planning for the Muscat governorate over the past few decades.
The annual forum is hosting officials from around 160 cities from all over the world, which makes it an important platform to exchange experiences and to develop the foundations of management opportunities and challenges, with community participation for all issues facing urban development.
