Sayyid Asa’ad reviews ties in talks with Iranian minister

Muscat: His Highness Sayyid Asa’ad bin Tariq Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan, received in his office on Tuesday Dr. Mohammad Shariatmadari, Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade in the Islamic Republic of Iran and head of the Iranian side in the Omani-Iranian Joint Committee, and his accompanying delegation, currently visiting the Sultanate.

Bilateral relations
The meeting reviewed aspects of the existing bilateral relations between the Sultanate and the Islamic Republic of Iran, particularly in the field of commercial and industrial cooperation and means of enhancing them, as well as discussing several topics of common concern.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Ali bin Masoud Al Sunaidi, the Sultanate’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, and the Iranian ambassador to the Sultanate along with a number of officials.
