Two children die after Imam's residence catches fire in Oman

Muscat: Two Pakistani children died after the home of an imam caught fire, rescue authorities announced on Friday.
The children were in the fifth and third grade, according to a statement put out on Friday morning by the school in which the children studied. Al-Fath School, said in its statement, "We mourn the death of our students... of the Imam of the Falaj Al Qabail mosque."
"They were from the Pakistani community," the school said.
A statement from Oman's Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance later clarified, "Regarding what has been circulated in social media regarding a mosque in wilayat Sohar, the Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance confirms that a fire brigade, rescue team in North Batinah dealt with the fire that broke out in the accommodation of one of the imams," adding that two children of "Asian nationality" had died in the fire.
