Oman marks Labour Day with march of development

Muscat: On the occasion of the International Labour Day, which falls on May 1 each year, Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) said Oman marks the International Labour Day at the time it has made many labour and syndicate achievements during the past period.
It also enhanced the tripartite relations which reflected positively on the march of the comprehensive development under the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.
“The celebration provides an opportunity to achieve more progress in enhancing the tripartite relations and adopting common initiatives, especially those related to promoting governance and improving business environment in the Sultanate,” he added.
“OCCI and private sector are looking forward for an active role by the General Federation of Oman Trade Union in streamlining the efforts that bring benefits to both labours and the national economy as well,” he concluded.
