CBSE orders schools to reconduct two board exam tests

Muscat: India’s Central Board of Secondary Education has announced that it will be conducting a re-exam for two of its tests, according to Indian media reports.
Exams for the two subjects which need to be retaken are tenth standard mathematics exams which was conducted today and 12th standard economics exam. Dates for the re-exams will be disclosed in a week.
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) made the announcement through a circular on Wednesday.
“Board has taken congnisance of certain happenings in the conduct of certain examinations as being reported. With the view to uphold the sanctity of the board examinations and in the interest of fairness to students, the board has decided to re-conduct the examinations in the following subjects: Class XII economics and Class X mathematics.
“Dates for fresh examinations and other details shall be hosted on the CBSE website within a week,” the CBSE circular said.
Interestingly, CBSE has changed tack after denying reports of a question paper leak with regard to the 12th economics exam on Monday.
