Muscat: Telecom network Ooredoo has decided to contribute OMR200,000 towards community services and other charitable donations, the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) announced.
As part of a new set of resolutions adopted at the Annual General Meeting of Oman Qatari Telecommunications Company - SAOG, "an amount of OMR200,000 has been approved to support community services and charitable donations during the fiscal year that ends on 31 December 2018".
According to authorities, the decision taken also included an approval for the distribution of remuneration of
OMR138,000 for the previous financial year, that ended on December 31, 2017.
The meeting that was held on Monday, March 5 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, also approved the Board of Directors' report and the performance report of the Board of Directors for the current financial year.
"KPMG has been appointed as the company's auditors for the financial year ending on 31 December 2018, and their fees have been determined," MSM added.
