Second National Debate in Oman to be held in March

Muscat: The second National Debate competition will take place in Sharqiyah on March 6, 2018.
A total of 117 young men and women from around the Sultanate signed up to participate in the debate that has chosen the theme of “Leadership” for this year's competition.
The championship is being held in cooperation with Sharqiyah University and the Oman Debate Team.
For the first time, 33 students (with an average of 3 students from each governance) will be part of the competition. In addition to that, 84 university and college students from 28 different institutions will also be a part of the event.
The first debate that begins next Tuesday will consist of 20 rounds with 60 participants. While the second day will have 36 rounds with 108 participants.
On the last day, there will be two final rounds, one for school students and the other for university students, where 12 young men and women will compete for the championship title. The competition will be monitored by 53 judges.
