Children in London go sledging during 'Beast from the East' snowstorm

Children flocked to north London's Primrose Hill on Wednesday (February 28) to make the most of out of the freezing Siberian weather, dubbed "the Beast from the East", as it blanketed much of Britain and Ireland in snow.
Using makeshift sledges, also known as sled in the U.S., children and some adults rushed down the 213 feet (65 metre) hill in the affluent north London neighbourhood.
Hundreds of schools were closed and there were delays on roads, railways and at airports on one of the coldest days Britain has experienced at this time of the year for almost three decades.
Temperatures fell to minus 12 Celsius (10 degrees Fahrenheit) in some rural areas while Britain's weather service warned of up to 40 cm of snow in higher areas of Scotland.
