Kiddies Sports meet held in Indian School Muladha

Muscat: Indian School Muladha organized Kiddies Sports meet 2017 with much grandeur and gusto in the lush green grounds of the school campus. Honourable chief guest of the day Mr. Waleed Shabib Sabil Al Balushi, Al Baladi Council member-Al Musannah representative made the occasion proud with his inestimable presence.
Mr.Shaikh Yakoob Bin Mohammed Al Braikkei, the land lord of the school was the Guest of Honour on the auspicious occasion. Al Khamis Al Balushi was the Special Guest for the proud moment. The President of the School Management Committee, Mr. Siddique Hassan, Academic Chairperson & IT in-Charge ,Dr. Ankur Goel, Principal Mr. S.I. Shareef, Vice Principal Mr. V.S. Suresh, Co-curricular and Extra -curricular activities Coordinator Dr.Lekha O.C, Kindergarten Supervisor Mrs.Saeeda Khan, teachers, parents and students attended the function.
The Chief Guest and the dignitaries were welcomed and escorted to the bedecked school ground by the School Head Boy Fahad Rahman and Head Girl Sreelekshmi Jayarajan. The function had a solemn beginning with a prayer song sung by the innocent little kids followed by the National Anthems of Oman and India.
The kindergarten teacher Mrs. Mary Shanavas welcomed the gathering. The meet was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Mr. Waleed Shabib Sabil Al Balushi. Mohammed Amen of KG II E received the Olympic torch from the Chief Guest before the kickoff laying the significance of precise sportsman spirit and implanting the doable will in the minds of young athletes.

The well-disciplined Walk Past by the KG students led by the Kids Captain boy Fayyaz Saleem of KG-II A and Kids Captain girl Mariyam Bakhtiyar of KG-II C carrying the banner which read “KG Sports Day” was a treat to watch. The well synchronized and harmonized marching parade of the innocent tiny-tots on the beats of music restrained the audience on their feet. They are filled with determination, dedication, coordination and concentration.

It was followed by the declaration of “the meet open” by the Chief Guest. In his speech, the Chief Guest spoke on the Importance of sports and games in burgeoning human values and skills among the students for making a better living. He also treasured the uphill struggle of the school in organizing such fantastic events. He also stressed on the need of the friendly approach of the teachers to these upcoming buds to secure knowledge in an intrepid manner and to develop the overall personality of the child.

Calisthenics, a physical exercise done in unison that tunes the mind to develop coordination and cooperation among team members exhibited by the innocent and adorable little ones dressed in multi tinted waistcoats, added to the beauty of the ground and left the audience spellbound. The rhythmic aerobic presentation invigorated everyone in the audience.

It was followed by the finals of track events such as Running Race, Hopping Race, Hula Hoops Race, Lemon and Spoon and Picking up Shapes. Fun games like Lemon and Spoon and Sack Race were also arranged for the parents. Winners and finalists of the various athletic events were awarded with prizes and medals. Gifts were distributed to all tiny tots for their enthusiasm and sportsman spirit.

Principal Mr. S.I. Shareef stressed the importance of participation of students in the activities and pointed out that sports not only help in the physical growth but also in the development of human mind. He also mentioned about the importance of parents and teachers in students’ life. He also articulated his gratefulness for the unmitigated cooperation of the parents for the smooth functioning of the Kindergarten section. In his speech he appreciated the Kindergarten teachers for their hard work and dedication to motivate the little kids to take part in such activities under the leadership of their dynamic Supervisor Mrs. Saeeda Ajmal Khan.

As a token of gratitude and appreciation a memento was given to the Chief Guest by the President of School Management Committee and the Principal. The event came to an end with the vote of thanks proposed by the kindergarten teacher Mrs. Annie Enos. Mr. Siddique Hassan, President of School Management Committee, Dr. Ankur Goel, Academic Chairperson & IT in-Charge of School Management Committee and Principal Mr.S.I.Shareef appreciated the Kindergarten section teachers for taking tireless effort to make this event a grand success under the conscientious and inexorable guidance of Mrs. Saeeda Ajmal Khan, Supervisor Kindergarten section. Principal Mr.S.I.Shareef congratulated all the little ones and appreciated their commitment and dazzling presentation.
