OMR75 million Al Nahdha Village Project to house Duqm workers

Muscat: Al Nahdha Village Project in the Special Economic Zone of Duqm will be opened on Wednesday at a cost of OMR75 million over 200,000 square metres area.
It will provide accommodation services of all types to workers in accordance with the standards required by the Ministry of Manpower and within the standards and requirements of the International Labour Organisation.
The opening ceremony of the village will be sponsored by His Highness Sayyid Fatik bin Fahr Al Said.
The opening comes in line with the Sultanate’s celebrations of the 47th Glorious National Day.
The village can accommodate up to 16,000 people.
It is a housing project for workers in companies operating in the Special Economic Zone of Duqm.
It has a services centre which includes a number of facilities, such as restaurants, bakery, business centre, clinic, laundry shop, fitness centre, business clearance office, maintenance centre, playground and services halls and provides transportation to and from the premises.
