Omani, European firms seal tourism deals at ITB Berlin travel show ends

Berlin: Having attracted remarkable attention from the global tourism towards the Omani tourism sector, the Sultanate yesterday concluded its participation at (Internationale Tourismus-Börse Berlin) “ITB Berlin 2016”.
Oman has become a popular destination for the German tourists in particular and the Europeans in general due to the Sultanate’s security and stability, heritage legacies and
genuine customs.
The Omani companies participating at the Sultanate’s pavilion in the world’s leading travel and trade show expressed satisfaction over the tourism deals made with the their counterparts from Germany and Europe for operating tourist groups to the Sultanate as the Governorate of Dhofar and the Governorate of Musandam have become the most popular destinations for tourists due to their unique potentials.
Haitham bin Mohammed Al Ghassani, Deputy Director General of Tourism Promotion at the Ministry of Tourism said that the Sultanate’s participation at the ITB Berlin was an opportunity to meet with the companies operating tourist groups to the Sultanate, which look for increasing their trips to Salalah due to the increasing demand by the tourists from Germany and Italy among others. -ONA
