Oman tennis: Fatma Al Nabhani storms into final in Tunisia

Muscat: Continuing with her winning run in the singles competition, Omani star Fatma Al Nabhani stormed into the final of the ongoing $15,000 ITF Pro Circuit Hammamet Open tournament in Tunisia on Saturday.
In a keenly-contested semifinal, second-seeded Fatma survived some tense moments before recording a straight sets 6-2, 6-4 victory over French third seed Marine Partaud for a place in the final.
Earlier in the quarterfinals, Fatma defeated her doubles partner and German sixth seed Katharina Hering 6-1, 6-4.
In the singles summit clash, Fatma will clash with top-seeded Bulgarian Isabella Shinikova, who advanced to the final after a 6-3, 6-3 win over Italian seventh seed Federica Arcidiacono.
In the doubles competition, the challenge of Fatma and Katharina ended in the semifinals when the second-seeded pair were handed a 6-3, 6-3 defeat by unseeded Lea Boskovic of Croatia and Yasmine Mansouri of France.
