Half of Oman's job seekers are aged between 25-29

Muscat: Job seekers in the Sultanate increased by 11 per cent by the end of July, according to the latest data released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
"There are 50,388 active job seekers in the Sultanate that have been registered by the end of July 2017, which equates to an increase of 11 per cent, compared to the previous month," according to a report by NCSI.
"Forty eight per cent of job seekers were in the age group of 25-29 and 38 per cent of job seekers are university graduates," the report stated.
Earlier this year, NCSI published that there were 43,858 job-seekers in Oman by the end of 2016. Similarly to this year, the majority of job-seekers were in the age group 25 to 29 years and most of them were college graduates.
