Drugs confiscated at Muscat International Airport

Muscat: An Asian national has been arrested for attempting to smuggle psychotropic substances into the country, according to the Royal Oman Police (ROP).
“The Directorate General of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances have arrested and accused an Asian national of attempting to introduce a quantity of psychotropic substances into the Sultanate through Muscat International Airport,” the ROP said.
The police did not clarify the amount of drugs that were confiscated but that the individual’s case was passed onto Public Prosecution.
