Revenue of hotels in Oman exceeds OMR192m in 2015

Muscat: Revenue of hotels classified as 3-5 stars touched OMR192.13 billion 2015, compared to OMR191.50 billion in 2014, according to figures issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information.
The occupancy rate recorded a 2.1 per cent increase by reaching 61.7 per cent compared to 60.4 per cent logged during the same period of 2014, while the number of hotel guests reached 1,204,376 guests, compared to 1,234,161 in 2014.
The number of Omani guests reached 356,067, while Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) guests numbered 160,604. Other Arab guests numbered 57,396, while Europeans and Asians touched 388,707and 155,051, respectively.
The African guests reached 6,456 while the American guests reached 44,628 and guests from Oceania reached 10,839.
