Oman Majlis Al Shura chairman receives Iranian official

Muscat: Khalid bin Hilal Al Ma’awali, Chairman of Majlis Al Shura received a written message from Dr. Ali Larijani, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament.
The message was handed over by Ala’eddin Boroujerdi, Head of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission at the Iranian Parliament when Al Ma’awali received him at the Majlis headquarters on Sunday. The Iranian guest conveyed greetings of Dr. Ali Larijani.
The Chairman of Majlis Al Shura affirmed the deep relations between the two friendly countries, as well as their broad avenues in various fields. He also gave a briefing on Majlis Oman “Council of Oman,” its prerogatives, legislative and oversight roles.
On his turn, the guest stressed the importance of enhancing the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and means of promoting them in parliamentary aspects.
The meeting was attended by Mohammed Ridha Nouri, Iranian Ambassador to the Sultanate.
