President Donald Trump replaced his beleaguered White House chief of staff, Reince Priebus, after only six months on the job on Friday, installing retired General John Kelly in his place in a major shakeup of his top team.

Kelly - one of three retired generals at the top of Trump's administration -- replacing Reince Priebus, who was seen as a bridge to the Republican party establishment.
Priebus viewed by other White House staffers as insufficiently loyal - new communications director Anthony Scaramucci insulting Priebus in a profanity-laced interview in the New Yorker... one of many bitter rivalries in Trump's White House.
Kelly, a former general in the Marine Corps, leading Trump's immigration crackdown as head of the Homeland Security Department.
