"The General Directorate of Traffic continues to take legal action against the practitioners of drifting, racing, and dangerous driving on roads," the department said in a statement.
This is following the circulation of a video that showed someone drifting their car at a traffic signal at night, which went viral on social media.
The person was arrested by the Royal Oman Police (ROP) soon after the act, as it sparked anger and concern in the community.
