ROP, coast guard bust drug smugglers in Oman

Muscat: A boat attempting to smuggle drugs was seized near the Dimaniyat Islands, the ROP announced Monday.
Coast guard patrols, led by South Batinah police and in cooperation with the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Control Department, managed to seize a smuggling boat carrying two individuals. They were found near the Dimaniyat Islands in the province of Barka.
The boat was seized, and the suspects and drugs were handed over to the Combating Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Department to complete the legal proceedings against them.
