PACP takes steps to ensure availability of consumer goods during Ramadan in Oman

Muscat: Authorities in Oman are at work to ensure availability of commodities required by consumer during the holy month of Ramadan, a senior official of the Public Authority of Consumer Protection (PACP), has said.
In coordination with its various departments, PACP is keeping a watch on commercial shopping centres to ensure the availability of such commodities especially in light of the rise in demand for foodstuff and consumer goods.
Omar bin Faisal Al Jahdami, vice president of PACP for Consumers Services and Markets Surveillance said that the preparations of the authority are normally made two months before the holy month by holding meetings at the headquarters of the authority and its different directorates and departments in governorates through rotation and on the basis of receipt of complaints and notifications.
