Oman crime: 30 people arrested in Seeb after ROP raids

Muscat: Thirty expatriates of different Asian nationalities, including 16 women, have been arrested by Royal Oman Police for violating the Labour Law and Residency Law and engaging in prostitution.
The arrests followed raids on a number of houses in the Al Hail North area of Seeb. ROP had earlier formed a team to raid the houses inhabited by the violators. Most of the violators were absconders, said a reliable ROP source.

Bank theft bid
An Arab national was arrested on charges of attempted theft in a bank in Wattayah. The accused tried to steal from the ATM but not succeeding in his effort, opened the main door of the bank and fled from the crime scene.
