Council of Oman takes part in Inter-Parliamentary Union conference

Muscat: The Council of Oman, represented by the State Council and Majlis Al Shura, participated, yesterday, via video conferencing in the 5th World Conference for Speakers of Parliaments affiliated to the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
Sheikh Said bin Hamad Al Saadi, vice chairman of Majlis Al Shura, represented the Council of Oman in the Conference with the participation of Raya Al Mantheri, member of the State Council.
The agenda of the conference included the opening speeches for Speaker of the Inter- Parliamentary Union and the UN Secretary General, discussion of a number of issues related to health, climate and economy, participation of the youth in parliaments and a report on the sustainable development plan for 2030 among other issues.
