New stretch of road opened in Oman

Muscat: The Ministry of Transport has opened a 11 km stretch of road between LNG company roundabout and the Blad Sur roundabout. This is part of a 14 km long dual carriageway project in Al-Sharqiyah South Governorate.

The 11 km stretch saw the construction of a roundabout in Al-Ghalila area to ease traffic and serve surrounding residential areas, commercial complexes, and Sur industrial city (Madayn).

This dual carriageway is a further extension to Qurayat-Sur road. Construction is progressing for the remaining 3km portion, starting from Al-Janah roundabout and ending in Blad Sur roundabout.
