Oman sees 5,000 part-time work contracts registered in 2019

Muscat: 5,000 part-time work contracts were registered last year, according to data published by the Ministry of Manpower.

Partial employment contracts can be registered by a number of groups, including students over 15 years old, job seekers, employees, retirees and housewives.

The Ministry of Manpower said: "The number of part-time work contracts for Omanis registered with the Ministry, up to the end of 2019, reached 5,000. This is part of the initiative to facilitate temporary work procedures and partial work and enhance the flexibility of the workforce movement. Companies can register part-time labour contracts electronically."
