Four expats arrested for illegal possession of cigarettes

Muscat: The police have arrested four expats who were in possession of over 30,000 boxes of cigarettes.

Royal Oman Police (ROP) said in a statement, "The General Administration of Customs, in cooperation with the Special Task Force Unit in Rustaq, seized more than 30,000 boxes of cigarettes which were in possession of four people of Asian nationality. They had stored them in one of the sites for sale. Legal procedures against them are underway."
