People in Oman called on to monitor moon

Muscat: The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs(MERA), has asked everyone to monitor the moon of Shawwal on Saturday evening, May 23, keeping in mind instructions issued by Supreme Committee to deal with COVID-19.

A statement issued online by Oman News Agency, (ONA) said: "We call on everyone to monitor the moon of Shawwal for this year, on the evening of Saturday, 29th of Ramadan, which falls on May 23 with the necessity to adhere to the instructions issued by the Supreme Committee to deal with COVID-19."
