Illegal sewing shop raided in Oman

Muscat: A residential house in South Al Batinah Governorate was raided for violation of decisions issued by the Supreme Committee to deal with COVID-19.

The Government Communication Center (GC), said in a statement: "In coordination with Royal Oman Police (ROP), Barka Municipality has raided an apartment house used by expatriate workers to practice the sewing profession. The raid comes in light of the closure of women's tailor shops as precautionary measures during the coronavirus outbreak. All tools and equipment were confiscated and legal procedures were completed against the violators."
