295 prisoners released in Oman during first half of Ramadan

Muscat: In the first half of Ramadan, the Fak Kurba initiative has managed to arrange for the release of 295 prisoners.

The initiative said in a statement:"Continuous community solidarity with the initiative resulted in release of 160 new cases, bringing the total till date to 295."

"The distribution of new cases at the governorate level is as follows: Al-Batinah North Governorate: 79, Muscat Governorate: 39, South Al Sharqiyah: 25, Al Dakhiliyah Governorate: 9, North Al Sharqiyah: 6 and two prisoners have been released in Musandam Governorate,"the statement issued added.
