Coronavirus: Government quashes rumours of sewing workers in Oman having COVID-19

Muscat: The government has quashed rumours circulating that a number of sewing workers in Muttrah were infected with the novel coronavirus.

The Government Communication Center (GCC), in a statement said: "There is no truth in what is being circulated on social media about the discovery of new cases of COVID-19 at a health center in wilayat of Muttrah among expatriates working in the sewing profession."

"Do not be a source of rumours and get your information from official sources," the GCC added.
