Oman's SSF celebrates graduation of new batch, Annual Day

Muscat: Graduation of a new batch of recruits and the Annual Day of Sultan’s Special Force (SSF) were celebrated on Wednesday.
The SSF Annual Day is celebrated on March 15 every year.
The celebration was held under the auspices of General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Numani, Minister of the Royal Office.
Upon his arrival at the military parade field, the SSF Commander received Gen Al Numani after which the national anthem was played and the graduates saluted the chief guest.
The chief guest inspected the first column. Then, the graduates performed slow and regular march parade with the participation of the Royal Guard of Oman (RGO) music. Then the chief guest distributed prizes to the top graduates. The graduates proclaimed thrice ‘Long Live His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
Gen. Al Numani also pinned medals of excellent service and Royal commendation on a number of SSF commissioned and non-commissioned officers in recognition of their dedication and sincerity in carrying out their national duty. The chief guest toured the exhibition of the equipment and tools supplied to SSF and was briefed on their potentials and capabilities. The ceremony was attended by a number of commanders of the SAF and security apparatuses, members of Majlis Al Shura representatives of the wilayats of the Governorate of Al Wusta, the Governor of Al Wusta, Wali of Haima and a number of the SSF commissioned and non-commissioned officers.
Within the framework of the ceremony, Maj. Gen A’mir bin Salim Al Amri, SSF Commander pinned special service, long service and good conduct medals on a number of SSF commissioned and non-commissioned officers in recognition of their long service and sincerity in carrying out the sacred national duty.
