Sayyid Fahd, Qatari minister review ties

Muscat: His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers on Wednesday received Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Foreign Minister of the State of Qatar and his accompanying delegation.
The Qatari foreign minister conveyed greetings of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said along with his best wishes of permanent success to His Majesty, the government, and the Omani people further progress and prosperity.
Sayyid Fahd reviewed existing cooperation between the two countries and the keenness of both sides to promote them.
The two sides reviewed all developments at the regional and international arenas, as well as the efforts exerted to alleviate tensions and reach effective solutions for the current issues.
On his turn, the Qatari foreign minister expressed his pride over this visit, as well as the mutual trust and sincere desire witnessed by relations between the two countries to enhance them. He hailed the comprehensive development being witnessed by the Sultanate and stressed the importance of the talks underway in the Sultanate.
The meeting was attended by Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs and Ali Fahd Al Hajri, ambassador of Qatar to the Sultanate.
