Every 6 minutes, a child is born to an Omani family

Muscat: The number of Omani children aged (0-17) totaled 1.1 million has recorded in mid-2018 and every six minutes an Omani child is born, according to National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

NCSI said in a statement: “The total number of Omani births in the Sultanate during 2018 amounted to 82,941 where males made up 51% and females 49%, and every 6 minutes an Omani child is born. The number of Omani children aged (0-17) totaled 1.1 million has recorded in mid-2018.”
