Muscat: First case of the Novel Coronavirus in Bahrain and three new cases of the disease have been reported in Kuwait.
According to Oman News Agency, “The Ministry of Health in Bahrain announced the detection of first confirmed case of New Coronavirus for a Bahraini citizen coming from Iran, where he was suspected of infection. He has been transferred for treatment and isolation.”
“A press release broadcast by the Bahraini News Agency (BNA) stated that the person was exposed to the symptoms of the virus and was transferred to treatment and isolation in the Ebrahim Khalil Kanoo Health Center in Al Salmaniya. Necessary measures will be taken for those who were in contact with the patient,” ONA said.
“The ministry indicated that it followed all the necessary procedures to deal with the case. Necessary tests were carried out by a specialized medical team on the infected person and those who were in contact with the patient were called and isolated," they said.
“The Ministry confirmed that it is continuing to take the procedures followed to combat the spread of the virus in Bahrain by ensuring that all arrivals from endemic countries are monitored for 14 days by a specialized public health team and contacted daily to ensure that they are free of any symptoms and adhere to the isolation guidelines.”
Moreover, according to the Ministry of Health in State of Kuwait, “Initial tests conducted for people arriving from Mashhad in the Islamic Republic of Iran resulted in three cases bearing confirmed.”
Referring to what the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health announced that a Saudi citizen in Kuwait from Iran was infected with the virus the Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia said in a statement, “We make it clear that coordination exists with the Ministry of Health in Kuwait to treat the citizen who will remain in Kuwait until his recovery as recommended by the World Health Organization," they added.
