First cruise ship of the winter season arrives in Musandam

Khasab: Musandam Governorate celebrated on Monday receiving of the first tourism vessel in the winter season, which set sail from Dubai to Muscat Governorate carrying 638 tourists and 1180 work crew onboard from different countries.

The celebration’s programme included a number of heritage sections, an exhibition of productive families and SMEs. The programme also included tours for the tourists to the key heritage, historic and tourism landmarks in Musandam Governorate and visits to the beaches in the governorate.
Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Kamzari from the Heritage and Tourism Department in Musandam Governorate said that the tourism vessels during the winner season contribute the diversification of sources of income and enhancement of the local economy through attraction of ore tourism investments and development of the tourism sector.

Khasab Port is expected to receive 46 tourism vessels during the winter season 2024/2025 at the time the number of tourism ships amounted to 52 and the number of tourists 76156, last year.
