United Nations sends condolence message

Muscat: The United Nations has sent a condolence message for the passing of His Majesty, the late Sultan Qaboos, according to the Oman News Agency (ONA)

ONA said in a statement: "The Secretary-General of the United Nations and the President of the United Nations General Assembly send their condolences for the passing of the late His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said."

The two UN officials praised the great contribution of His Majesty the late Sultan in the field of regional and international diplomacy. The United Nations has also lowered its flag to half mast in mourning.
