Juvenile Cases training workshop kicks off in Oman

Muscat: A three-day workshop organised by the Public Prosecution in cooperation with the Embassy of the United Kingdom in the Sultanate began yesterday. It aims to raise the skills of workers from the authorities on the Juvenile Accountability Law.
The training workshop titled ‘Juvenile Cases’ began under the auspices of Hamad bin Isa Al Azri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice, in the presence of Hussein bin Ali Al Hilali, Attorney General and John Wilkes Ambassador of the United Kingdom in the Sultanate.
Hamad bin Isa Al Azri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice said that the workshop comes in continuation of the efforts of the judicial and law enforcement authorities in dealing with juvenile cases in Oman.
He added that experts from the United Kingdom will lecture at the workshop during which they will meet with specialists in the competent judicial and law enforcement authorities in the Sultanate to learn about the techniques and methods of dealing with juvenile cases.
Officials from Public Prosecution, the judiciary, Royal Oman Police and the Ministry of Social Development will get a training on dealing with juvenile cases and investigation methods.
