Heavy rains over many parts of Oman

Muscat: Heavy rains over many parts of the Sultanate have been continuing since Thursday evening in varying intensities.

In a statement issued online by the Public Authority of Civil Aviation ( PACA ) said: “The activity and flow of rain clouds on the coasts of the Sea of Oman ( Musandam, North and South Al Batinah, Muscat), and on Al Hajar Mountains of ( Al Buraimi, Dhahirah, Al Dakhiliyah, and South Al Batinah ), with opportunities for separate rains.”

The thunderstorms continue to fall since Thursday noon in wilayats of North Al Batinah such as Shinas, Liwa, Sohar, Saham, Al Khaboura and Al Suwaiq.

Also, thundershowers fell heavily in wilayats of South Al Batinah, such as Baraka, Al Rustaq, Nakhl, Wadi Al Ma'awal. It is also raining in Ibri and Yanqul in Al Dhahirah governorate, and in the wilayats of Al Dakhiliya governorate and Muscat Governorate.
