Muscat: An Omani student designed an online evaluation system for the country’s health services.
According to a press release, traditional evaluations in the Ministry of Health require patients to fill out at least one paper form to write their suggestions or complaints or take questionnaires.
The new system, however, implements a web-based system capable of accomplishing the same tasks as paper-based evaluations that would be user friendly and time-saver and cost-effective.
Researcher Salim Al Lamki said that an automated integrated system will enable decision makers to rank a particular healthcare center based on the feedback, complaints, suggestions and questionnaire.
In addition, the website has various users with each user having his/her own set of functionality and authority. The users are the administrator, the supervisor per hospital, medical staff, and most importantly patients.
