Fourth Session of Consumer confidence survey begins in Oman

Muscat: A consumer confidence poll for the last quarter of 2016 by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) starts today.
The poll will access the degree of satisfaction among Omani Citizens with regard to the country’s economic environment in terms of inflation, job opportunities, investments and economic policies.
The four day survey targets Omanis who are 18 years and above. The consumer confidence index of the Sultanate uses the approach followed by the Survey Research centre of Michigan University in the US.
The targeted audience are 1,200 Omanis from different governorates and takes into consideration appropriate representation of both gender and education levels.
