Alawi meets Iranian minister, discusses relations

Muscat: Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs received in his office yesterday Dr. Sadiq Hossein Jaberi Ansari, Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs in the Islamic Republic of Iran, who is currently on an official visit to the Sultanate.
The two leaders discussed bilateral cooperation between the two countries and exchanged views on regional and international issues of common concern.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Mohammed bin Awadh Al Hassan, Acting Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Diplomatic Affairs, the delegation accompanying the guest and officials at the Foreign Ministry.
The 5th official session of talks for strategic consultation between the Sultanate and Iran was held at the General Diwan of the Foreign Ministry yesterday.
The Omani side was chaired by Dr. Mohammed bin Awadh Al Hassan, Acting Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Diplomatic Affairs while it was headed from the Iranian side by Dr. Sadiq Hossein Jaberi Ansari.
The two sides discussed cooperation between the two countries that contributes in enhancing bilateral relations. They also exchanged viewpoints on several regional and international issues of common concern.
