Muscat: There are chances of low level clouds or fog patches forming along the coastal areas of the Arabian Sea from late tonight to early morning, with tropical storm Luban 830 kilometers away from Salalah, Oman's official meteorology department at the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) announced in a weather forecast today.

The authority also warned of a reduction in visibility during fog.
In its latest update of the tropical storm Luban, PACA said that the centre of the tropical system was 830 km away from Salalah. Wind speeds at the centre were 55-50 knots, according to the authority. Additionally, the nearest convective cloud bands were 525 kill from the coast.
PACA added: "Hazy and mainly clear skies over most of the Sultanate with high and medium cloud advection along Arabian Sea coastal areas, and chances of cloud development over Al Hajar Mountains and surrounding areas in the afternoon."
