Water supply to be disrupted in many parts of Muscat

Muscat: Water supply will be disrupted in some areas in Wilayat Muscat and Wilayat Muttrah for 24 hours on Thursday, according to the Public Authority for Electricity and Water (PAEW).
PAEW said that all the areas in Wilayat Muscat except for Bustan and Qantab will have the water cut-off while water supply will be disrupted in areas including Darsait, Tiwan, Corniche, Muttrah Souq, the port, Jibrooh, Al Washal, Tiwan Muttrah and Zubadiya in Wilayat Muttrah.
“The new pipeline will connect the main reservoir in Wadi Kabir to Muscat reservoir; this will allow constant flow of water in the areas by replacing the old pipeline which suffered cracks in the past that resulted in water shortages,” PAEW added.
PAEW advises its subscribers to store water for 48 hours in their tanks and use sparingly until the installation is complete.
