Galouti Kabab
What’s It?
Galouti Kebab is made of minced lamb meat in which the lamb meat is cooked in butter, ground roasted chana dal, and spices. The keema is then shaped into patties and shallow fried in oil or ghee, and served with mint or coriander chutney. This kebab originates from Lucknow and it has a historical significance too as these were said to be made for Nawab Wajid Ali Shah of Lucknow. It has a little history attached to it too. The Nawab had lost all his teeth and to make it easier for him to taste kebabs this melt-in-the-mouth kebab was prepared in his royal kitchens to satisfy the Nawab’s love for meat.

Chicken tikka, malai kabab, mutton seekh kabab and fish fry. While all the kababs are juicy and succulent, each one bringing out a new flavour, the fried fish is a winner all the way. It is crunchy on the outside and soft and juicy inside and deep fried to perfection. The malai murgh is also a must try and the smoked flavours accentuates the taste. But however delectable the kebabs are, do keep room for the biryani.
