Global entrepreneurship week to be launched in Oman

Muscat: Proceedings of the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW), organised by National Business Center (NBC) in collaboration with a number of public and private organizations involved in entrepreneurship, will kick-off on Sunday at Knowledge Oasis Muscat (KOM).
The first day includes a panel at which the key speaker, Ahmed al-Khateeb, Founder of one of the most e-shops in the Middle East "VIP" will speak about his experience in e-marketing.
The first day also includes a seminar titled "Marketing for SMEs".
During the second day, the directors general in a number of industrial estates in the Sultanate will highlight the available business opportunities for SMEs at the PEIE, ways to start new projects and how to develop future plans. The second day also includes a seminar on developing the marketing brand for entrepreneurs.
The third day includes an event titled "Mashorah" or (Advice), which will discuss the funding methods used by the available funds, as well as the subsidy provided to Omani entrepreneurs. The event aims at raising awareness of SMEs owners through sharing views and experiences amongst experts and entrepreneurs.
At the fourth day, the NBC, in collaboration with Sohar Aluminum, will organize at Crowne Plaza Hotel Sohar, a meeting with contractors on regular business meeting and the available business opportunities at the major projects for SMEs.
The event comes within the efforts made to develop and promote SMEs and help SMEs owners to develop and grow. The GEW is an international event at which more than 140 countries will take part.
