BeaconHouse School welcomes ‘I Love the Sultan’ campaign in Oman

Muscat: ‘I Love the Sultan’ campaign has created a huge buzz among all the schools in Muscat and the Muscat Media Group’s (MMG’s) latest stop, the BeaconHouse School System was equally responsive and excited about the nationwide campaign.
Zeba Masood, the principal of the school, was delighted and said her students will enthusiastically support the campaign. “The Times of Oman’s idea of paying tribute to the His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said is not only brilliant, but extremely unique. We wholeheartedly congratulate the team to come up with this interesting campaign to show unity, strength, support and appreciation for the His Majesty and his beautiful nation. Thank you for being with us and we shall look forward to such interactions in future as well.”
“Hopefully, all our students and staff will join hands with the Times of Oman to celebrate the 46th National Day with grace and fervour. Long live His Majesty and long live Oman.”
Through the ‘I Love the Sultan’ initiative, MMG has visited several schools around Muscat and the BeaconHouse School System proved to be an absolute delight.

Richard Pakenham, chief sales and marketing officer at MMG addressed the huge gathering of excited students, who had been waiting in anticipation.
“It’s wonderful to see you all gathered here for a great cause, to show your love to the His Majesty, the Sultan. For the National Day, which is a couple of weeks away, we have planned something very special and unique. We are using all of our media channels, our newspapers, websites, mobile channels, and applications to invite everybody in the country to register their names, which will then be included in a beautiful portrait of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.”
“Along with the great prizes, which your parents can win, we are doing something extra special for the schools, for the class within any one of the schools that manages to generate the highest number of names, will be rewarded to come together at a beautiful restaurant in Muscat for a big party with the classmates, parents and teachers.”
“Besides this, a mural of the portrait of His Majesty will be created with all your names on it and that will be displayed at a prime location in the country for generations to see.”
With over a whopping 50,000 registrations, the campaign has been very successful and students in all schools are very excited about the initiative, with registrations rising by the minute.
In addition to the registrations, some students have gone an extra mile and drawn portraits of His Majesty and sent them to the MMG office. Pratham Chawdhry, a grade 7 student from the Indian School Al Ghubra and M. Aashika, a student of grade three at the Indian School Nizwa have drawn beautiful portraits of His Majesty to celebrate the occasion.

Anyone who registers will also be entered into the biggest-ever prize draw from MMG, with OMR25,000 worth of gifts to be won.
These include a brand new Nissan Xtrail, diamonds, several iPhone7s, a luxury family holiday thanks to the major sponsorship partners, including Suhail Bahwan automobile, Malabar Gold & Diamonds and Sheraton Oman hotel.
“I Love the Sultan” is an innovative digital campaign that will create a portrait for His Majesty using the names of hundreds of thousands of residents, Omani and expatriates, alike.
The portrait will be published in the National Day edition of the Times of Oman and uploaded on all its social media platforms and website. With the campaign, MMG aims to register about 100,000 participants in this biggest ever campaign organised by the group.
Following the resounding initial success of the Times of Oman’s ‘I Love the Sultan’ campaign, the ‘Saarab’ augmented reality application (app) has been launched in order to make it easier for people to participate in this campaign.
