Car fuel production decreases 3.2% by March

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman’s production of car fuel recorded a decrease of 3.2 per cent by the end of March 2024 compared to the corresponding period in 2023, according to preliminary statistics released by the National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

The production of regular fuel (M-91) fell by 15.3 per cent by the end of March 2024. High-grade fuel (M-95) increased by 17.9 per cent. Production of M-91 fuel reached 3,920,500 barrels, while sales stood at 3,340,100 barrels. The production of M-95 fuel reached 3,105,600 barrels and its sales reached 3,106,100 barrels.

Diesel production declined by 10.6 per cent to stand at 7,426,700 barrels and its sales reached 3,386,700 barrels. Meanwhile, jet fuel production increased by 9.4 per cent to stand at 2,947,700 barrels, while its sales stood at 1,087,600 barrels. Liquefied natural gas (LNG) production reached 2,203,400 barrels and its sales stood at 2,432,600.
