House in Oman used as illegal kitchen raided

Muscat: Municipal authorities raided a house which was being used to illegally prepare foodstuff by expats. They would then sell the prepared items to cafes in Muscat governorate.

Muscat Municipality said in a statement: "Municipal authorities raided a house in the northern area of Al Mabaila; the house used by expat labour for cooking and preparing food in commercial quantities which distributed to restaurants and cafes of the wilayat Seeb."

"The raid resulted in the seizure and release of a violation to the owner of the property, and the destruction of food unfit for human consumption, with the confiscation of tools," the municipality added.
