Muscat: To commemorate World Food Day, Bank Nizwa recently partnered with Dar Al Atta’a, one of Oman’s largest non-profit organisations, in an initiative to distribute food and essential supplies to more than 500 underprivileged families across the Sultanate.
Inspired by the values of its Masoliyati programme, the bank’s employees joined other volunteers from the public and private sector to collect non-perishable items, including rice, flour, milk, coffee, tea, sugar, wheat, oil and canned foods.
Dr Ashraf Al Nabhani, said, “We have been dedicated to giving back to local communities in any way we can, a conviction that directly inspired our partnership with Dar Al Atta’a.
Together, we implemented an integrated approach that has brought benefits to dozens of families and reaffirmed Masoliyati’s promise to enriching local communities through social contributions.”
Through Masoliyati, Bank Nizwa’s staff has embraced opportunities to champion charitable initiatives across the Sultanate.
Till date, the programme has successfully launched a number of high-impact projects, including its annual Iftar Sa’em outreach programme organised every Ramadan, coastal beach clean-ups designed to preserve Oman’s picturesque coastline, and blood donation drives that have provided blood banks in the Sultanate with urgently needed plasma.
