
Muscat : The South Al Batinah branch of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in cooperation with the Office of the Governor of South Al Batinah and with the participation of 11 institutions from the public and private sectors, organised the "Investment Opportunities 2026" forum today, under the theme "Sustainable Development and Comprehensive Economic Partnership."
The event was held under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Saba'a bin Hamdan Al Saadi, Secretary-General of the General Secretariat for National Celebrations.
The forum witnessed the announcement of more than 100 investment opportunities, in addition to the presentation of over 40 investment sites, with a total area exceeding 6 million square meters, distributed across the various districts of South Al Batinah Governorate. A number of value-added investment sites and projects were also showcased, along with the launch of the Investment Opportunities Guide, a comprehensive reference for investment opportunities and sites available in the governorate. The forum also highlighted several successful investment experiences in vital sectors.
The forum was accompanied by an exhibition showcasing participating entities' most prominent projects, initiatives, and programs related to investment and development. It also provided a comprehensive overview of available investment opportunities, highlighting the investment potential of South Al Batinah Governorate and fostering partnerships and broader cooperation between stakeholders and investors.
His Excellency Engineer Masoud bin Saeed Al Hashmi, Governor of South Al Batinah, stated that organising the forum embodies the governorate's strategic direction towards strengthening the investment environment and enhancing its readiness to attract high-quality projects.
He noted that the diverse investment opportunities presented reflect the promising economic potential of the governorate's various districts across vital sectors.
Al Hashmi affirmed that the governorate is committed to supporting effective partnerships and empowering investors to capitalize on available opportunities, in line with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040, and further solidifying South Al Batinah's position as an attractive investment destination within the Sultanate of Oman.
Engineer Hamoud bin Salem Al Saadi, Second Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Head of the Chamber’s branch in the South Al Batinah Governorate, affirmed that the outcomes of the Investment Opportunities Forum reflect a practical shift in the mechanism for presenting opportunities and linking them to investors, noting that the signing of agreements witnessed at the forum embodies the seriousness of the trend towards transforming opportunities into existing projects that contribute to stimulating economic activity and enhancing added value in the governorate.
