Women’s Day in Oman showcases His Majesty’s vision, Royal care

Muscat: A number of members of the State Council confirmed that the Omani Women’s Day, which falls on October 17 is a landmark day for Omani women.
It embodies the attention of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said towards women and shows the appreciation of His Majesty for their contribution to nation-building.
Dr. Raya bint Salim Al Mantheriya, member of the Committee on Education and Research said that the allocation of a day for the Omani women is a true example of the wise vision and royal attention of His Majesty the Sultan for them who are considered by His Majesty the other wing of the bird which can fly high in the sky and take the country to the highest horizons, which embodies her great position, and a real empowerment to her capabilities and skills to ensure her roles in pushing forward the process of national development .
Dr. Mona Al Sadoun member of the Social Committee said that the attention of the commander of the march of the modern renaissance to woman is obvious and clear, since the dawn of the Renaissance, where that support and empowerment of woman takes many forms.
Dr. Badrya Al Shihya, member of the Economic Committee pointed out that celebrating women’s day each year for Omani woman underscores the importance of participation of Omani woman in the march of comprehensive development, including the development of the family.
Dr. Zuhor bint Abdullah bin Salim Al Khanjariya, Deputy Chairperson of the Committee on Education and Research said that Omani Women’s Day comes to translate the enlightened thought of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, noting that Omani woman highly appreciate and feel grateful to the commander of the Renaissance march, His majesty the Sultan, for allocating October 17 each year as a day for Omani woman.
